11.3.21.2 Configuring Port Security Interface Page
Selection Criteria
Slot/Port
- Selects the interface to be configured.
Port Security
- Enables or disables the Port Security feature for the selected interface.
Enable violation traps
- Enables or disables the sending of new violation traps designating when a
packet with a disallowed MAC address is received on a locked port.
Enable violation Shutdown
- Enables or disables the Port Security Violation Shutdown mode for the
selected interface.
Configurable Data
Maximum Number of Dynamically Learned MAC Addresses Allowed

Sets the maximum
number of dynamically learned MAC addresses on the selected interface.
Add a static MAC address
- Adds a MAC address to the list of statically locked MAC addresses for
the selected interface.
VLAN ID
- Adds a corresponding VLAN ID for the MAC Address being added to the list of statically
locked MAC addresses for the selected interface.
Maximum Number of Statically Locked MAC Addresses Allowed
- Sets the maximum number of
statically locked MAC addresses on the selected interface.
Command Buttons
Clear
- Clears the Dynamic MAC addresses of the selected interface.
Move
- Convert a dynamically locked MAC address to a statically locked address. The Dynamic
MAC address entries are converted to Static MAC address entries in a numerically ascending order
till the Static limit is reached.
Submit
- Applies the new configuration and causes the changes to take effect. These changes will
not be retained across a power cycle unless a save configuration is performed.
