Returns the impedance setting of the oscilloscope’s output.
Parameters: (None)
Response: (Character) Z50 or Z1M
PR_PRT X IEEE X RS-232
Prints a self-calibration report out the selected serial port.
Parameters: 1. Type of report to print: STORED, ACTIVE, or CONSTS
2. Format of report: PRINT (designed to be read), SPREAD (designed to
be loaded into a spreadsheet)
3. Calibration interval to be used for instrument specification in the report:
I90D (90 day spec), I1Y (1 year spec)
4. Serial port through which to print: HOST, UUT
Example: PR_PRT STORED, PRINT, 190D, HOST
*PUD
(IEEE-488, RS-232)
(Protected User Data command) Protected user data command. This command allows
you to store a string of bytes in nonvolatile memory. This command works only when the
CALIBRATION switch is in the ENABLE position.
Parameter: #2<nn><nn characters string> (definite length)
#0<character string> (indefinite length)
“<character string>“ (character string)
Example: Binary Block Data

Note
The 2 indicates that there is are two digits to follow (in this case "16"), and
the 16 indicates that there are 16 characters including space characters in
the remainder of the *PUD message (in this case "CAL LAB NUMBER 1")
This type of data is called Binary Block Data in the IEEE-488.2 Standard.
In the 5820A, you may also use String Data. The parameter "CAL LAB
NUMBER 1" works exactly the same.
