Choosing the option 3 in the FP/SLE control menu (Figure 13) will select the
Downstream SLE mode of operation (link failure of the S.CON1M/MA TP port will
cause the disconnect of the TP port of the attached remote device.)
Option 4 (Upstream SLE mode) is the opposite mode of operation (remote device link
TP port failure will cause the disconnect of the S.CON1M/MA TP port)

Choosing option 1 will list the device local status (figure 10)
Choosing option 2 will allow you to setup the rate limiting for the S.CON1M/MA Link
Select option 3 to perform a Loop-back test.

Remote device H.CON/MA CPE Management
This section deals with managing an H.CON/MA remote CPE, connected via fiber to
S.CON1M/MA, through either the serial connection or a Telnet connection.
The H.CON/MA main menu is reached through the ‘Remote device’ option in the ‘Link
management’ menu (see figure-14 above)
The main menu
This menu contains a header with the master system’s name (S.CON1M/MA). The
main menu enables the user to display the device’s status (1) or to enter the device’s
control menu (2).
