Network Connection
1. Your media converter is capable of In-Band Management. In order to
achieve this follow these simple steps:
2. Make sure there is a network connection to the S.CON1M/MA
3. This connection can be made to either ports (TP and FO) of the
converter. However, this connection might depend on the device’s
configuration. In most cases, it is recommended that the connection be
obtained through the TP port (to prevent user intervention in
management). When S7 is set to UP position management is available
on both TP and F/O ports; DOWN position – on the local (TP) port only.
4. Verify the connection is active through the ping command (from the
management station to the S.CON1M/MA)
