Terminating resistor (line termination)

Bus  segments  must  be  terminated  at  both  ends  with
a  terminating  resistor.  This  also  applies  if  the  interface  or
the  communications  processor  is  at  the  end  of  the  bus  cable.

Recommendation:  Use  plugs  with  a  built−in  terminating
resistor  if  the  HGPPI−...  is  connected  to  the  end  of  a  bus
segment.  If  necessary,  connect  the  terminating  resistor.

The following diagram shows the arrangement of the terminating
resistor combination of line A in accordance with EN 50 170.
