3. The I/O module on the Checkbox

External supply External supply of the I/O module is stipulated to ensure EMC
conformity. The external supply must be electrically isolated
from the internal power supply to the Checkbox.
The external power supply also supplies the valves at the
blow-down positions on the conveyor unit. The power unit
must therefore be designed for loading currents of 1...3 A.
Important note
Connect the I/O module of he Checkbox to an external
power supply if you are using the Checkbox in conjunction
with other devices. To do this, modify the factory setting of
the Sub-D plug “Controller” provided.
In this way you will avoid malfunctioning and damage to
the device.

Use the Sub-D plug “Controller”.
1. Loosen both screws and locking rings on the plug
housing.
2. Remove the bridge between pins 16 and 15 (GND).
3. Remove the bridge between pins 35 and 34 (+ 24 V DC).
4. Connect pin 15 with the earth/ground potential (0 V) of
the external power supply.
