OPERATION OF TELEPHONE CALLS
DURING AN ALARM
Events sending
The telephone transmitter element makes calls on
the switched telephone network (STN), according to
the following principle:
- a telephone call to recipients according to a preset
cycle (see paragraph telephone calls Cycle). When a
recipient answers, it asks him/her to press a key to
continue listening, and sends a pre-recorded
welcome message.
- indication of the type of event, date and time,
- indication of the suggestions to re-listen to the
welcome message, to listen to the protected room, or
to speak via the transmitter for about thirty seconds.
- event confirmation request, by pressing a key,
- manual disconnection by pressing a series of keys
or automatic.
Telephone calls cycle
Every alarm trips a cycle of telephone calls, which
entails several attempts in sequence, as shown at
the side here.
The transmitter exits the cycle as soon as:
- the call reception confirmation code (push-button
4) is received, or when the cycle has been performed
4 times (for numbers 1, 2 and 3) and 3 times (for
number 4), or
- an order was issued (disable or enable) with a
system control device (remote-control or keypad).
