Error Messages
Whenever an error or a wrong operation takes place, the system prompts with an error
message. The list of these error messages and their explanations are given below:
< Sorry no further help or help not available press [ENTER] >
This message appears whenever you press the BLUE key but there is no help message for that
program or when you scroll through the available help messages till the end. Press [ENTER] key to
return to your original message prompt.
< No such program number …. >
This message appears under the 'parameter-programming mode', whenever you enter a program
number, which does not exist. Press [ENTER] to return to normal operation.
< Illegal Password >
This message appears whenever a non-existent password is used to enter the programming mode
or the 'Audit reports'. Press [ENTER] return to normal processing
< Access Denied >
This message appears whenever a 4-digit password is used to gain access to the parameter
programming, since only 5 or 6 digit password users have access to these programs.
<No free memory to store any more room nos. Check out some rooms first>
The system has a separately allocated memory area to store all the checked in room numbers .
Normally, a maximum of 256 room numbers may be stored along with their credit limits and total
accumulated charges. However, if this number is exceeded, new rooms cannot be stored without
deleting some rooms under the 'Check-out' report.
However, the calls will get stored for these new room numbers even if you do not delete any
rooms to free the memory space. But these calls and these room numbers will not appear in the
Audit report and Checked-In room report but will appear in all the other reports and the extension
report with the 'all' option.
The next few messages given below should not appear during normal mode of operation. If
they do appear, this would be suggestive of a malfunction or some memory corruption due to
voltage fluctuation etc. It is advisable to check all other parameters also if any of these
messages appear due to any reason. Also make a note of any special conditions that may have
triggered this fault occurrence and notify the supplier if this occurs frequently.
< Warning memory banks deleted or added - run program # 991 or 999 >
This error message will appear only when some hardware changes have been made - like adding
or removing memory banks.
< Warning serial port parameters corrupted. Default values set >
< Warning SMDR config string corrupted default values set >
This message appears, normally when the unit is powered on after a long period of disuse, if the
serial port parameters or the SMDR parameters are corrupted.
The parameters stored in the EEPROM are downloaded into normal memory and the serial port &
SMDR are programmed accordingly.
< Warning memory corrupted. Full ram is being cleared >
This message will appear when the system is first powered on after a long period of disuse - like
when the system is first installed at a site etc.
Sometimes, when there are frequent power failures for brief periods, there is a very small chance
that the power on/off surges on the mains line may corrupt the memory. But for such severe
fluctuations, the normal power failures should not affect the system memory.
If such a memory corruption takes place, all the calls stored earlier will be lost. However, all the
program parameters, charges etc. will be restored from the non-volatile memory.
