The
Playlist
Properties
panel is used to view and edit playlist metadata and track
details, including the track title, track duration and source URL. You must be logged in as an
administrator to create and edit playlists.
Create a New Playlist
To create a new playlist, from the
Player
1.
Select
Browser>Files
.
2.
Locate and select the folder where the playlist file is to be stored.
NOTE:
For folders on network shares, the user must have read/write access to
create a new playlist.
3.
Select
New
Playlist
to create an empty playlist.
A
New
Playlist
Configuration
dialog box opens (see figure 39).
NOTE:
If you omitted step 2, the
Path:
field shows
file:///
. If you selected the
desired folder in step 2, the
Path:
field displays the selected path name.

In the
Name:
field (

), enter a file name. The extension is automatically added to match
the selected format (

). Do not use special characters. To maximize compatibility with
control systems, avoid using spaces.

In the
Title:
field (see figure 40,

), enter a descriptive name or version number.
NOTE:
The
Title
and
Creator
fields are not available for all playlist formats.

If desired, enter a name in the
Creator:
