Accessing the Embedded Web Pages
After the SMD 101 and the encoders and codecs that will serve as stream sources are
installed, open the web pages that are embedded within the internal memory.
To open the SMD 101 embedded web pages:
1.
Open a web browser.
2.
Enter the IP address of the SMD 101 (if the IP address has not been changed, the
default IP address is 192.168.254.254) into the browser address bar (see figure 10).

NOTE:
If you are not able to connect to the SMD 101, the IP address may have
been changed. See the
Front Panel Configuration Port
on page 112 for
instructions on returning it to the default IP address without disturbing the
configuration.

The SMD 101 embedded web pages provide the software user interface for operating and
configuring the streaming media decoder via a control PC on the same network.
All SMD 101 web pages include the
Player
Controls
tab at the left of the screen (see
on page 23). The
Player
page serves as the main interface
for operating the SMD 101.
The pages provide the following features:

Fully configure the SMD 101 from a remote location
•
Remote control and active monitoring of the SMD 101
•
A full color embedded video confidence window
•
Update firmware
