TRANSCEIVER OPERATIONS
7.34 VOX Operation
VOX f unct ion - switches the transceiver in TX mode when you speak in the microphone.
Enable the VOX function by pressing the VOX button on the front panel of the transceiver.
VOX threshold adjusting is carried out in the VOX and Compressor local panel.
Set the MI C THRESHOLD slider in the required position for the active Mic for correct VOX
function trigger.
Note:

Threshold level is set and memorized for each microphone separately.
(
VOX - Transmission mode enabled by the voice (Voice-Operated
Transmit).
7.35 TX Monitoring Gain
TX Monit oring G ain function allows you to listen to the generated signal and control its quality.
Press the MON button on the transceiver's front panel to enable the TX Monit oring G ain.
Set the monitoring volume by the MON knob.
Rotate the MON knob to change the monitoring volume in the TX mode.
Note:

The MON knob will be active only in the TX mode with pressed MON button.
(
Excessive monitoring
volume may lead to the positive acoustic connection
between the
microphone and headphones
(internal dynamic) and as a result to the self-triggering
of the
audio path.
