Changing the Engine Oil-Kawasaki
Engine
Service Interval: After the first 5 hours
Every 100 hours (change
it more often under a
heavy load or in high
temperatures) (Kawasaki
Engine).
1. Park the machine so that the drain side is slightly
lower than the opposite side to ensure the oil
drains completely.
2. Start the engine and let it run until warm. This
warms the oil so it drains better.
3. Disengage the blade control switch and ensure
the parking brake is engaged.
4. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.

Note:
Torque the plug to 14 N-m (125 in-lb).
5. Change the engine oil filter. Apply a thin film of
clean Exmark 4-Cycle Premium Engine Oil to the
rubber gasket on the new filter.
