APPENDIX TWO

WIRING to a HOME AUTOMATION SWITCH (OPTIONAL)

External control of your 

H Series

 Vent Free Gas Fireplace can be done with a home automation switch (not 

included) or the remote control (included). The home automation system can turn the fireplace on and off  but 

cannot adjust the flame height.

When using a home automation system:

1. 

Remove the jumper wire (

A

) from Jumper Block (

B

) located at controle module connector X4 using a small 

flathead screw driver. Replace it with a millivolt-rated, dry contact closure (DCC) provided by you.

2. 

The remote control must then be disconnected from the system by pressing the SW1 button (see above)
