INSTALLING THE OPTIONAL SCREENS

Your 

H Series

 Vent Free Gas Fireplace is compatible with optional safety screens. This includes three screens, 

magnets and metal tabs.

1.  Approximately 12 inches from the left side of the front long opening, insert a metal 

tab between the 

hearth

 panel and fireplace frame leaving half of the tab exposed. 

Repeat from the right side of the opening.  

 

2.  Approximately 12 inches from the left side of the rear long opening, insert a metal 

tab between the 

ceiling

 panel and fireplace frame leaving half of the tab exposed. 

Repeat from the right side of the opening.

3.  At the center of the end opening, insert a metal tab between the 

hearth

 panel and 

fireplace frame leaving half of the tab exposed. 

 

 

4.  At the center of the end opening, insert a metal tab between the 

ceiling

 panel and 

fireplace frame leaving half of the tab exposed. 

 

 

 

5.  Place one magnet on each exposed tab end.

 

 

 

6.  Center each long screen within the fireplace opening, place the lower edge of the 

screen against the lower magnets and swing the top edge of the screen up to the 

upper magnets. Ensure that the screen is centered within the opening. 

7.  Center the end screen within the end of the fireplace opening, place the 

lower edge of the screen against the lower magnets and swing the top 

edge of the screen up to the upper magnets. Ensure that the screen is 

centered within the opening.
