ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY
The
H Series
Vent Free Gas Fireplace requires the internal receptacle (supplied) to be wired to a 120V AC branch
circuit according to all applicable codes. The neutral, line and ground wires to the receptacle are available at
the lower right of the closed end of the fireplace cabinet. This circuit must be wired such that the AC power to
the
H Series
Vent Free Gas Fireplace may be turned off by an accessible single-pole switch. This circuit need
not be dedicated to the
H Series
Vent Free Gas Fireplace unless required by local codes.
After the internal receptacle is connected and tested, the AC plug from the burner may be plugged in to it.
BATTERY BACKUP
The
H Series
Vent Free Gas Fireplace has a battery backup feature which powers the system in the case of a
commercial power loss. The battery case is in the left rear corner of the fireplace and can be accessed by lifting
off the hearth panel. Remove the battery case cover and insert four AA batteries as shown below. Please note
that the battery backup is intended for power loss, not as the main source of power.
