6.3 Supporting the Titerplane incubation
technique with MERGITE!
In addition to an automated washing process, the MERGITE! system
provides different carriers that support you in handling slides, glass
plates and the mounting steps. In the following, you will be shown an
example of how to carry out a 2-step IFA incubation with
MERGITE! 10. The procedure with MERGITE! 50 is carried out
analogically with the respective carriers and carrier plates.
You will need:
Titerplane slides:
up to five 10-field slides,
Titerplane glass plates:
2 glass plates for up to five 10-field slides,
cover glasses:
one cover glass for each slide,
prepared samples and reagents for the IFA incubation.
Carrying out Titerplane incubation with MERGITE!
Prerequisite:
Chapter 6.1 Preparing for washing, p. 37
1) Insert the glass plate with the reaction fields facing up in the
carrier plate. The field positions are marked on the carrier plate.
