Test iTAM Splitter Connection Unit
This section describes the tests to be performed on the 64x COMBI Int I/O
POTS + TAM ETSI Connection Unit (02HAT00282AAQ) and 32 x TAM Connection
Unit (02HAT00136AAR).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you remove and then re-insert a Connection Unit, the
associated 64 x ADSL card or 32 x SHDSL card MUST be removed and re-inserted
after the Connection Unit is installed. The 64 x ADSL card or 32 x SHDSL card will
then send a reset signal to the Connection Unit as part of its start-up sequence.

The 64x COMBI Int I/O POTS + TAM ETSI Connection Unit(s)
(02HAT00282AAQ) and 32 x TAM Connection Unit (02HAT00136AAR) will
have been installed, where required in Section 5.
b.
The EDA 2530 LCT should already be connected and logged on to the
Common Part in slot 1. If you have disconnected it refer to Section 5.4 to
reconnect the LCT and Log-On to EDA 2530 again.
9.4.1
Check Test Relay Switching Correctly
This test must be performed on two ports of each 64 x ADSL Card associated with
the iTAM Connection Unit (02HAT00282AAQ) and two ports of each 32 x SHDSL
Card associated with the 32 x iTAM Connection Unit (02HAT00136AAR) to ensure
that the Line Test Relays switch correctly. For each 64 x ADSL Card select one port
between Port 1 and Port 32 and another port between Port 33 and Port 64. For
each 32 x SHDSL Card select one port between Port 1 and Port 16 and another port
between Port 17 and Port 32. The ports tested should be varied on each card.
However,
DO
NOT
select Port 64 on the 64 x ADSL Card in slot 2 as this is used by
the NxTester.
a.
In the EDA LCT shelf view window, right click on the
<64 x ADSL
> card or
<32 x SHDSL>
card associated with the first splitter unit to be tested.
Select
Lines
from the menu.
b.
In the window displayed, click on the
<Line>
to be tested. (e.g.
Line 1
).
Then left click on the
Configure
button.

Click on the
Maintenance
tab.
