Ink cartridge status
The ink cartridge status is indicated as follows:
The size of the filled square corresponds roughly to the amount of ink
remaining in the cartridge.
Ink is low. Make sure you have a new ink cartridge ready.
The ink cartridge is expended; replace it with a new ink cartridge.
An error has occurred. Check the message on the screen and clear
the error.
A cleaning cartridge is installed. The size of the filled square
corresponds roughly to the amount of cleaning solution remaining in the
cartridge.

CL: Cleaning
Y: Yellow
M: Magenta
C: Cyan
BK: Black
Time before next
automatic cleaning
The amount of time before automatic cleaning will occur is displayed. Ten
minutes before automatic cleaning occurs, the time display continues to blink
but stops updating. The color changes when it is time to clean.
There may be variations in the time before automatic cleaning occurs
depending on the temperature around the print heads. Automatic cleaning
may start when the power is turned off and then back on, regardless of the
time displayed.
Note:
Automatic cleaning is performed by the printer at a defined interval to
keep the print head in good condition.
