Note:
q
If you press the
R
cleaning button for three seconds when
the
B
and
A
ink out lights are off, the printer starts cleaning
the print head.
q
The printer automatically moves the print head back to its
home (far right) position after about 60 seconds if you have
not started the replacement procedure.
4. Lift up the clamp that holds the cartridge you want to replace
as far as it will go. When you do, the cartridge will rise
partly out of the cartridge holder. The following illustration
shows color ink replacement. For black ink replacement, lift
up only the smaller clamp on the left.
c
Caution:
Once you open the ink cartridge clamp, the ink cartridge
becomes unusable and cannot be reinstalled even if ink
remains.
5. Lift the cartridge out of the printer and dispose of it properly.
Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it.
w
Warning:
If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with soap
and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them
immediately with water.
