During test printing, the job
is spooled but nothing
comes out.
The bi-directional
communication with the
printer is not working.
Connection port is disabled by the computer BIOS setting or the like:
Enable the connection port.

The computer and printer are connected through a converter/
repeater:
Print data transmission may not work correctly.
Connect the computer and printer directly.

For serial interface models - not connected with the appropriate
cable:
Check the cable connection.

For USB interface models - USB driver is not installed correctly:
Check that the USB driver is installed correctly.

For parallel interface models - "Bi-directional communication" is not
enabled for the computer in the Onboard Parallel Mode setting
under BIOS:
Select a mode that enables bi-directional communications which
may be different depending on the computer.
When there are multiple modes (ECP, EPP, etc.) that support bi-
directional communications, check the scope of each mode.

Printer port is not configured correctly:
Check the printer port settings.

The printer port is not an Epson Port:
A standard computer port (COM, parallel, etc.) or File is not suitable
for printing.
Select the Epson Port for the connected interface.

The job disappears from

The port settings in the Properties screen of the printer driver are not
configured in accordance with the printer connection port:
Check the printer port settings.

Printing is possible but the
print result contains
garbled characters.
For serial interface models -
The serial communication settings in the computer does not match
those in the TM printer:
The TM printer settings can be confirmed by performing a self test.
The settings on the computer side can be confirmed from the
[Configure Port] screen. To display the screen, select the connected
Epson Port and then click the [Configure Port...] button on the [Ports]
tab of the Properties screen of the printer driver.
"Garbled characters" occur when the "communication speed" is not
configured correctly.

Check the cable connection.

Connection through interface conversion cables, print servers, and
the like:
Print data transmission may not work correctly.
Check whether printing is possible using a simpler connection
method.

Printing is possible but slow.
In test printing, characters/images are printed as image data. For
this reason, the amount of print data to be transmitted is large and
the time required for printer communication longer. (Especially in
serial connections)
