careful when auto focusing on irregularly shaped items. The auto focus plunger
must clear all edges of the work piece or you may cause damage.

Set the Auto Focus on the Legend on the LCD Display panel. See Section 8
“USING THE EPILOG LEGEND SYSTEM” of this manual for step-by-step
instructions.

Turn on the exhaust fan.
4.
Close the door and press the GO key.

Layout your Artwork in your drawing program.
Air Assist
For tough jobs with deep
cutting, the air assist
allows you to speed
production time, while
enhancing the quality of
your final output. The
Legend Air Assist directs
a constant stream of
compressed air across the
material surface at the
point of burn.
Directing the compressed
air both down and back towards the exhaust vent, the air assist removes the heat and
combustible gases from the work surface. The constant air stream helps reduce
charring and scorching
associated with materials,
such as wood, rubber, and
acrylic. Computer
controlled, you can assign
the air assist to be turned
on/off while raster
engraving or vector
cutting.
