Description of the modules
AI (Analog Input) module
The AI module (slots 1 to 3) cyclically transmits the corresponding measured variable,
including the status, to the PROFIBUS Master (class 1). The measured variable is repre-
sented in the first four bytes in the form of floating point numbers in accordance with the
IEEE 754 standard. The fifth byte contains standardized status information corresponding
to the measured variable.

Assignment of the measured variables to the AI module
The AI module can transmit different measured variables to the PROFIBUS Master (class 1).
The measured variables are assigned to the Analog Input function blocks 1 to 3 by means of
the local display or with the aid of an operating program (e.g. FieldCare) in the CHANNEL
function:

TOTAL module
The measuring device has three totalizer function blocks. The totalizer values can be cycli-
cally transmitted to the PROFIBUS Master (class 1) via the TOTAL module (slots 4 to 5). The
totalizer value is represented in the first four bytes in the form of a floating point number in
accordance with the IEEE 754 standard. The fifth byte contains standardized status infor-
mation corresponding to the totalizer value. Further information on the device status
