Maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintenance:
Please take all measures in due time which will guarantee the safety of operation and reliability
of the entire measuring system.
Maintenance of CLM 223 / 253 comprises:
• Calibration (see chap. 5.10)
• Cleaning of assembly and sensor
• Checking of cables and connections
Troubleshooting
Determination and elimination of the cause of the problem in the case of an operating fault.
Troubleshooting refers to measures that can be performed without intervention in the instrument
(for instrument defects, see chap. 8, Repairs). Troubleshooting of the CLM 223/253 and the
measuring system is performed with the aid of the troubleshooting table in chap. 7.1.
Warning:
•
When working on the device, bear
in mind the possible
repercussions on the process
controller or the process itself.
•
When removing the sensor during
maintenance or calibration, please
consider potential hazards due to
pressure, high temperatures and
contamination.
Note:
•
Please contact you E+H support
office if you have any queries. You
also send your queries to the E+H
Service Organization via the
Internet.

See chap. 3.4 and 3.5
– Signal output line interference
– check line routing,
– try separate line routing,

– Irregular flow rate / turbulence /
air bubbles / big solids particles
Choose better place of installation
or eliminate turbulences.
Possibly use large measured value
