12.9 Taking out of service

CAUTION
Activities while the analyzer is in operation
Risk of injury and infection from medium, reagents or cleaner!
‣
Before you release any hoses, make sure that no actions, such as the pumping of
sample, are currently running or are due to start shortly.
‣
Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves or take other suitable measures to protect
yourself.
‣
Wipe up any spilt reagent with a disposable tissue and rinse with clear water. Then dry
the cleaned areas with a cloth.
NOTICE
Do not operate the analyzer for longer than 5 days without taking it out of service
properly!
Can result in damage to the device.
‣
Take the analyzer out of service as described.
To take out of service, proceed as follows:
1. Set the manual mode
2. Empty the sample collecting vessel
3. Rinsing the system
12.9.1 Setting the manual mode
1. Open the analyzer.
2. Press the
MODE
and select
Manual mode

12.9.2 Emptying the sample collecting vessel

The system is automatically rinsed with sample and emptied. This process takes
approx. 4 minutes.
2. In the case of a two-channel device, repeat the procedure for the second sample
collecting vessel.
12.9.3 Rinse the system
1. Open all the reagent bottles and carefully remove the hoses. Open all the bottles if
you wish to replace dispensers or hoses.
2. Dry the ends of the hoses with a clean paper towel.
3. Place the ends of the hoses into an empty beaker.
4. Once the action is completed, select

5. Immerse all the hoses (RB, RK, RN, S1, C, P) in a beaker containing approx. 200 ml
(6.76 fl.oz) of distilled water in order to rinse the system with water.
