2.3 Working theory
Induction cooking is a safe, advanced, efficient, and economical cooking technology. It works by electromagnetic vibrations that
generate heat directly in the pan, rather than indirectly by heating the glass surface. The glass becomes hot only because the pan
eventually warms it up.
2.4 Before using your New Induction Hob
• Read this guide, taking special note of the ‘Safety Warnings’ section.
• Remove any protective film that may still be on your induction hob.

Saving energy
Follow the tips below to save energy when you cook.
• Do not boil more water than you need.
• Always fit a lid to pans (if possible).
• Place the pan on the heating zone before you turn it on.
• Place small pans on the smaller heating zones.
• Place the pan in the centre of the heating zone.
• Use the residual heat from the heating zone to keep food warm, etc.
