Alarms
Door Ajar
If the door has been left open for an extended period of time an alarm will sound and the door ajar indicator will
display on the right side of the display. The alarm is turned off by closing the door. The mute sounds key or alarm
off key will blink to prompt the resetting of any pending alarms. Press mute sounds key to reset any system alarms.
High Temperature
Summary Of Temperature Displays From Power On To Reaching Set-points
When a warm refrigerator is first powered-on, the Power On alarm will sound and the current set-points (the factory
default set-points are 0
°
F, 37
°
F) will be displayed for a few seconds. After the few second delay, both displays will
switch to “HI”. The Power On alarm will continue to sound until it is acknowledged by the user pressing the Mute (B
display) or Alarm Off (A display) key. The displays will continue to show “HI” for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, the
High Temp alarm will sound and both displays will switch to showing the actual temperature.
At this point, there are two possibilities:
1). The High Temp alarm can be cleared by pressing the Mute/Alarm Off key. If this action is taken, then both
displays will turn off. ( This assumes the user has not enabled the displays – which are off by default).
2). The second option is the user can ignore the High Temp alarm and NOT press the Mute/Alarm Off key. If no
action is taken, the High Temp audible alarm will self clear after 2 minutes, but the High Temp indicator will stay
illuminated and the Mute/Alarm Off key will stay illuminated. In this case, both of the temperature displays flash and
continue to track the temperature downward in real-time.
When both the freezer and the fresh food compartments cool to the point that it is not in a high temperature state,
then the temperature displays will turn off. The freezer is not considered to be in a high temperature state when it
cools to 25
°
F or below, and the fresh food is not in a high temperature state when it cools to 54
°
F or below. The
typical behavior of a system is that the freezer will cool from ambient to 25
°
F in approximately 1 hour. The fresh
food compartment will cool from ambient to 54
°
F typically around 90 minutes from power on. The High Temp
indicator and Mute/Alarm Off key will stay illuminated until the alarm is cleared by pressing the Mute/Alarm Off key.
In the event of a high temperature condition where the fresh food compartment exceeds 56
°
F or the freezer
compartment exceeds 26
°
F, the temperature display will blink and display “HI”, and the high temperature alert will be
displayed. The alarm off icon will blink until pressed, acknowledging the alarm, at which time the blinking will stop.
All other modes are turned off until the alarm is acknowledged. The high temperature alert and “HI” will stay
illuminated until a normal safe range operating temperature has been reached, at which time the temperature display
will display the actual temperature.
Power Fail
In the event of a power failure, the power fail alert will be displayed and the temperature display will blink until the
alarm off icon is pressed, acknowledging the alarm. Other modes may be turned off until the alarm is acknowledged.
The power fail alert is turned off and the refrigerator will resume normal operation. The high temperature alarm may
also be illuminated until a safe operating range temperature has been reached.
Error Codes
The following are error codes that may appear in the
