Operator’s Manual City Ranger 3070

3.2 Engine oil - continued

Change of engine oil and oil filter

NB: Drain the crankcase when the oil is hot.

Attention

Hot oil and hot components can

cause personal injury. Do not allow

hot oil or hot components into contact

with your skin.

1. Park the City Ranger 3070 on a level surface.

2. Open the filler cap. (Picture 1)

3. Remove the oil drain plug in order to allow the

oil to drain in a drain pan. (Picture 2)

4. After drainage, clean the oil drain plug and put

it back with a new gasket.

5. Remove the oil filter with a suitable tool.

(Picture 3)

6. Clean the sealing surface of the cylinder block

or the oil cooler.

Attention

Do not fill the oil filters with oil

before installing them. This oil

would not be filtered and could be

contaminated. Contaminated oil can

cause accelerated wear to engine

components.

7. Apply clean engine oil to the new oil filter seal.

8. Install the new oil filter. Tighten the filter by

hand. Do not overtighten the oil filter.

9. Fill the crankcase with the correct amount of

oil. (approx. 10.6 litres)

Attention

Underfilling or overfilling the

crankcase with oil can cause engine

damage.
