Installation and Service Guide: Color Controller E-85A
Using the E-85A
Starting, shutting down, restarting, and rebooting
Generally, you can leave the E-85A and the printer running all the time. Restarting the E-85A resets the E-85A system
software, but does not reboot the entire system. Network access to the E-85A is temporarily interrupted and all currently
processing jobs are terminated.
To start the E-85A
1
Make sure that the power switch on the back of the E-85A is in the ON (|) position.

Important:
Unless instructed otherwise by a troubleshooting procedure, always shut down the E-85A from the Fiery
QuickTouch monitor or from the monitor attached to the E-85A. Do not use the power button on the side to shut
down the E-85A.
