Configuration of the Connection Pipe
The standard length of the connection pipe is 16.4 feet.
The minimum length of the connection pipe is 10 feet.
The maximum length of the connection pipe is 65 feet.
If you extend the connection pipe, the unit will require additional refrigerant oil. If the length of the
connection pipe is extended 32.8 feet beyond the standard length (16.4 feet), you must add 0.17 oz
(5ml) of refrigerant oil for each additional 16.4 ft of connection pipe.
Calculate how much additional refrigerant is needed based on the following equation:
Additional refrigerant = extended length of liquid pipe x additional refrigerant per foot.
Use the table below to determine the length of your connection pipe, and add refrigerant
based on the pipe length. The additional refrigerant charging amount per foot changes
depending on the diameter of the liquid pipe. Consult the following table for these
adjustments.
