Installing the Indoor Unit
Step One: Choose the Installation Location
Choose a suitable installation location according to the specifications for indoor and outdoor unit
placement listed earlier in this document.
Step Two: Install the Wall-mounting Frame
1. Position the wall-mounting frame using a
carpenter’s level, then mark the location of the screw
holes on the wall.
2. The mounting plate may be installed directly to studs in the wall with appropriate self-tapping 1

screws. If needed, install wall anchors (not included) according to the associated wall anchor
instructions and secure accordingly.
3. Pull gently on the frame to ensure that it is secured firmly. If not, additional fasteners may be
used, as needed.
Step Three: Open the Piping Hole
1. Choose the position of the piping hole according to the direction of the outlet pipe. The piping
hole should be positioned slightly lower than the wall-mounted frame, as shown below.
Note: Use a stud finder to locate studs in order to prevent unnecessary damage to the wall.
