Delete input text
The MODE button and - must be tapped simultaneously to delete the complete text line. A character is deleted
using the button combination MODE and , .
Cancelling an entry
The entry of a value can be cancelled by tapping the ESC button. The value is not applied.
Exit from the menus and operating screens
Tap the ESC button to exit from menus and operating screens. This returns to the next higher-level menu.
Exit from terminal mode
The terminal mode is ended using the "Back" button at the top left and the entry screen of the selected E*LDS
component is displayed again. The main menu is displayed by tapping the "Home" button; see chapter Status
bar and quick info, page 71

9.1.4 Specification of the numbering of menus and entry screens
Every submenu or entry screen has a title at the top left and is identified by prepended unique numbering.
Furthermore, all buttons of the main menu and the submenus each have an individual number of 1, 2, ..x at the
bottom right to be able to reference the corresponding menus or entry screens in the operating manual.

Tip
: The parameters of the case controller for name, position and priority can be very comfortably
configured using the configuration screen in the respective submenu of the E*LDS component (e.g.
Menu 4-2, 4-3 or 4-4).
If no button has been tapped for a period of 10 minutes, the terminal mode is ended automatically and
the main menu is displayed. Any running entry by a user is cancelled and inputs already made are
discarded.
