The unit must be installed on a fire-retardant area and must be away from all combustible materials. Clearance should be 10in to 

the left and right side of combustible materials, 16 in. above, 12 in. above the floor, and 6 in. to the front.

This water heater requires a special venting system. Refer to the installation instructions for parts list and methods of installation.

The temperature and pressure relief valve provided by the manufacturer shall be installed at the time of installation of the heater in 

the location specified by the manufacturer. Local codes shall govern the installation of relief devices. For safe operation of the 

water heater, the relief valve must not be removed or plugged
