Offset Policy:
If a clock is required showing a later (or earlier) date than
the current one, an offset may be applied. The time which will be printed is
then the current time plus (or minus) the offset. The value of the offset can
be set in three ways:
Fixed offset
A defined offset is applied. Set the offset as shown in
“Offset” below.
The time printed will be the current time plus the fixed
offset.
Prompt offset
The offset to be applied is supplied by the operator.
When the label is sent to the printer, the operator will
be prompted to enter the value of the offset.
The time printed will be the current time plus the
prompted offset.
Pick a date
When the label is sent to the printer, the operator will
be prompted to choose a fixed date. The input screen
offers the choice of Year, Month and Day, displayed in
a calendar format.
The time printed will be the fixed date, in place of the
variable clock.
Certain parts of the prompt can be customised.
(1)
Open the message in the editor.
(2)
Click
Message > Orphaned variables > Edit Variable
and edit the
variable corresponding to the date picker.
Here you can set the text of the prompt and if the last used value is
retained.
Offset:
When a clock is required showing an earlier or later date than the
current one, a fixed offset is entered here. The value entered will determine
how many years, months, days, hours or minutes the clock should skip.
Sub Language:
When another Language is selected, Sub Language
displays the available regional variants of the main Language selected.
Truncate Date:
Clock variable always uses the correct numbers of days
in a specific month.
The Truncate Date settings determine the behaviour when an illegal date
(like 31st of February) is reached.
If Truncate Date is active, the day is set to the maximum day in the specific
month.
If Truncate Date is inactive, the date enters the next month.
