Section 3. Installation & Cabling
(continued)
3.2.2
Installing and Configuring Circuit Breakers
Figure 6c
shows the DCPS-SHELF-9KW Shelf with the Front Access Panel removed, providing
access to:
1. BATT1 and BATT2 Breakers-
Reserved for 1 or 2 external Battery Backup (BBU) strings. Circuit
breakers are removable, replaceable bullet style with current ratings up to 100A each.
Configuration settings for 0, 1, or 2 Battery Strings are in the Web Browser interface.
See Section 3.2.1 Note regarding unfilled circuit breaker positions.
1. L1 ~ L10 LOAD Breakers-
Reserved for up to 10 DC Loads, L1~L10 circuit breakers are
removable, replaceable bullet style. Each breaker position can accept DC current up to 100A
but existing suppliers limit the 1RU style breaker current to 50A (maximum). Configuration
settings are in the Web Browser interface and EDPS9K-MAIN board DIP Switch settings (see
Item #3 below).
2. EDPS9K MAIN board- (see Figures 6d)
- Each switch on the
10-position DIP Switch links specifically to one of the 10 DC
LOAD Breaker positions (see
Table 2)
. Any L1 ~ L10 breaker
position with a circuit breaker installed requires the linked
DIP Switch position set to OFF. Any empty L1 ~ L10 breaker
position requires the DIP Switch position set to ON, which .
disables breaker-related alarms for that position.
Example: If L1~L9 breakers are installed but the L10 breaker
position is left empty, then DIP Switch positions 1~9 will be set
OFF and DIP Switch position 10 will be set ON).
