Fitting special screws
Apply white grease on the stem and underhead of special screw
(23) and graphite grease on the threading. Start the no. 2 special
screws (23) on the no. 2 special nuts (10), interposing the no. 2
rubber blocks (22) and aiming them as shown in figure (Y). Tighten
the no. 2 special screws to the specified torque.
Notes
The tank side protection kit can be coupled with the engine lower
protection kit.
If the engine lower protection kit is installed on the motorcycle,
loosen the n. 2 screws (H1) as shown in figure (K1). Apply white
grease on the stem and underhead of special screw (23) and
graphite grease on the threading. Start special screw (23) on RH
bracket (H) as shown in figure (K2). Tighten the special screw to
the specified torque. Repeat the same procedure on the left side
of the motorcycle.
Montaggio viti speciali
Applicare grasso bianco su stelo e sotto testa della vite speciale
(23) e grasso grafitato sulla filettatura. Impuntare le n.2 viti speciali
(23) sui n.2 dadi speciali (10), interponendo i n.2 gommini (22),
orientandoli come mostrato in figura (Y). Serrare le n.2 viti speciali
alla coppia indicata.
Note
Il kit protezioni laterali serbatoio può essere abbinato al kit
protezione inferiore motore.
Versioni Multistrada 950
Nel caso in cui sul motoveicolo sia installato il kit protezione motore
inferiore, svitare le n.2 viti (H1), come mostrato in figura (K1).
Applicare grasso bianco su stelo e sotto testa della vite speciale
(23) e grasso grafitato sulla filettatura. Impuntare la vite speciale
(23) sulla staffa destra (H), come mostrato in figura (K2). Serrare la
vite speciale alla coppia indicata. Ripetere la stessa operazione sul
lato sinistro del motoveicolo.
