CODECS   

 

The VoIP technology uses so called speech codecs for communication. Codecs compress the speech in data 
packets, which can be sent over the network. Which codecs should be used by OD-Sip Plus with which priority 
can be defined in this section. The following codecs are available: 

PCMU

 (G.711 

μ

-Law) is a standard codec for digital communication in Europe. It has a good speech quality, but 

also higher data volume: about 80 to 100 kbit/s.
