Password Authentication
Some I-Code SLI-L/S tag commands may require authenticating with a password.
To login in with a password, select its type in “Password type” list, enter the password as 4
hexadecimal bytes in “Password” field and click “Log in (Set)”.
I-Code SLI-L/S specification uses the term of “Setting password” instead of
“Logging in with password”. Do not confuse this with “Writing password”
below.
Password Configuration
To write a password, select its type in “Password type” list, enter its current value as 4
hexadecimal bytes in “Current password” field, enter its new value in “New password” field
and click “Write New Password”. Additionally, check “Lock” before clicking “Write New
Password” to write the password and prevent any future change.
To enable 64 bits protection, click “Enable 64 bits protection”. Both read and write passwords
must have been logged in first. See I-Code SLI-L/S specifications for more information.
CAUTION: Locked passwords cannot be unlocked and 64 bits protection mode
cannot be exited once entered.
