The parallel port on your system board can be set to any of the
following system I/O addresses:
Connecting the Parallel Printer Port
Attach the DB-25 printer port cable
to connector J7 on the system board.
Make sure the colored stripe on the
ribbon cable aligns with pin 1 of
connector J7. Use a small nutdriver to
mount the cable into a DB-25 cutout
in the system chassis. If your printer
port cable is attached to a card-edge
bracket, connect the cable to
connector J7 on the system board
and mount the card-edge bracket to
the system chassis.
Floppy Disk Drive Controller
The system board is equipped with a shrouded floppy disk header
that supports two standard floppy disk drives. You can install any
360KB, 720KB, 1.2MB, 1.44MB, or 2.88MB floppy disk drives. To
prevent improper floppy cable installation, the shrouded floppy
disk header has a keying mechanism. The 34-pin connector on the
floppy cable can be placed into the header only if pin 1 of the
connector is aligned with pin 1 of the header.
