Drive unit, display and easy-reach control
Description
Cause
Remedy
Display does not light up and is not
functioning, no motor assist.
a) Battery is in Sleep mode.
a) Wake battery from Sleep mode

If the battery still does not respond or the LEDs flash in an unusual way, the battery is damaged and
must be removed from the charger.
b) Battery flat or defective.

c) Ambient temperature too
high/low.
d) The battery has a permissible operating temperature range of -10 to 40°C.
Speed display incorrect
a) Incorrect unit set.

b) Wheel circumference setting
incorrect.
b) Set the correct wheel circumference - please contact your dealer for this.
The system will not turn on (no on-screen
display).
a) The battery is not firmly
seated in the holder.
a) Remove the battery from the holder and reinsert it, and plug in the connector if necessary.
b) Soiling
b) Check the charger plug and the battery socket carefully for deposits. If the plug or socket are magnetic,
metal particles will accumulate quickly. Unplug the charger from the mains and remove the deposits with a
soft, dry cloth.
c) Sleep mode
c) Press the battery button so that the LEDs light up.
No motor assistance (display available)
a) The battery is loose
a) Remove the battery from the holder and reinsert it. Plug in the connector again if necessary.
b) Battery not charged
b) Recharge the battery once completely.
c) The display is loose
c) Turn and remove the display from the mounting plate, wait approx. 1 minute and put it back on.
d) Cable break
d) Check that all connectors are correctly inserted, and check all cables for cable breaks, e.g. because of
excessive kinks.
e) Error message on the display
e) Is there an error message on the display? If yes, please contact your cycle dealer.
