The two recuperation levels can only be activated if the two
following criteria are applicable:
»
Recuperation can only be activated within a speed
range between 10 and 40 km/h. Recuperation cannot
be activated at speeds below 10 km/h or when at a
standstill.
»
The battery cell temperature must be higher than 0°C.
Recuperation is automatically disabled at temperatures
below 0°C.
»
The battery charge level must be lower than 90%.
Please note that braking performance due to
recuperation is dependent on the battery charge level.
The lower the battery charge level, the higher the
recuperation.
»
The bicycle’s lighting is not switched on.
1. To switch to recuperation, for example when you are going downhill,
use the button to shift from Level 0 downward. So that you do not
confuse the two recuperation levels with the assist levels, the battery
icon will animate during recuperation: A black field scrolls from the
top to the bottom of the battery. Use the
- button to move upward to
the Assist levels.

are pressing on the pedals. Assistance cuts out as soon as you stop

Recuperation
In Recuperation mode, the motor acts as a generator. It will then generate
current which is used to charge the battery. This will at the same time
generate a gentle braking effect.
