ALARMS
The data logger can report the exceeding of the measurement thresholds defined by the user.
The message can occur through activation of the alarm relay and/or sending SMS (if the
GSM/UMTS module is present).
You can define up to four alarm conditions of measurement (command SETALARM), each of
which is associated with a different SMS, the text of which is defined by the user (command
SETSMS). If you experience any of the set alarm conditions, the data logger, in addition to ac-
tivating the alarm relay, if enabled, sends to the first three mobile phone numbers stored
(numbers of index 0,1,2 set with the command PHONE) the SMS corresponding to the alarm
condition that has occurred.
The alarm relay can be activated even when the charge level of the battery becomes too low
(LOWBATTALARM commands, to define the minimum level of charge, and RELAYONBATTERY,
to enable the relay). An SMS alert is sent when the battery charge level falls below the mini-
mum level set.
See paragraphs 11.12 (Alarm settings) and 11.17 (SMS settings) for details concerning the
definition of alarm conditions, the relay setting and the definition of the content of text mes-
sages and mobile numbers to send the SMS. Alternatively, make the settings with the help of
Meteo Studio software.
Other specific SMS alerts are sent when specific events occur, for example for a reset of the
logger, when the SD card is removed, when an error occurs to clock synchronization, etc.
