Removing The PERC H730P Card
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only
perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as
directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is
not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions
that came with the product.
1.
Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the
electrical outlet and peripherals.
2.
Open the system.
3.
Remove the Network Daughter Card (NDC) riser.
4.
Locate the PERC H730P card next to the power supply bay, under the clamp.
5.
Press and open the clamp.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the card, you must hold the card by its edges only.
6.
Lift the card to remove it from the connector on the system board.
7.
Disconnect the SAS cables connected to the card:
a.
Press down and hold the metal tab on the SAS cable connector.
b.
Pull the SAS cable out of the connector.
8.
Return the clamp to the closed position.
9.
Close the system.
