13.4.3 Determining the current factors for channels 0...7
Command
Explanation
xt
Turn off display backlight.
sio, 1
Turn on automatic offset calculation.
ewxX,<1000>
Initialize I factors in EEPROM:
X = 0…7 for channel 0…7
rc
Display channel number
↔
slot number assignment.
siX, 3804
Measure the current at the corresponding slot.
X = 0…7 for channel 0…7
siX, Y
Incrementally increase/decrease the Y value starting from 3804 until a
current of 70 µA is measured.
Calculate factor:
3804
Y
Factor
=
Round result to three decimal digits.
ewxX,<factor*1000>
Write I factor found to EEPROM:
X = 0…7 for channel 0…7 *
erxa
Verify by reading factors.
* Procedure on error:
If the factor is outside the valid range (0.9...1.1), the bit value determined cannot be written to
EEPROM. In this case please contact the manufacturer.
13.4.4 Determining the current factors for the reference
Command
Explanation
xt
Turn off display backlight.
sio, 1
Turn on automatic offset calculation.
ewxr,<1000>
Initialize I factors for reference in EEPROM.
sir, 3804
Measure the current at the reference cathode.
sir, Y
Incrementally increase/decrease the Y value starting from 3804 until a
current of 35 µA is measured.
Calculate factor:
3804
Y
Factor
=
Round result to three decimal digits.
ewxr,<factor*1000>
Write current factor found to EEPROM *
erxr
Verify by reading factor.
* Procedure on error:
If the factor is outside the valid range (0.9...1.1), the bit value determined cannot be written to
EEPROM. In this case please contact the manufacturer.
13.4.5 Notes
IMPORTANT:
The current factor cannot and must not be determined before the current offsets have
been determined.
