10 Programming instructions for software downloads
Software downloads are restricted to skilled service technicians.
The following steps must be performed strictly in the sequence in which they are listed
in order to avoid processor damage.
1. Turn off the SOLARIS unit.
2. Remove the back panel.
3. Disconnect the RS232 and CFL Converter connectors inside the unit.
4. Connect the COM port of the notebook/PC with the RS232 and CFL Converter connectors
inside the unit (special cable with programming box).

5. Connect the SOLARIS unit to mains.
6. Turn on the SOLARIS unit and wait for the menu to appear.
7. Press and hold the BOOTSTRAP button on the programming box. Then press the RESET
button and release it. After approximately one second, release the BOOTSTRAP button.
8. Run ST10Flasher program. Both status indicators (Com Port and Monitor) must be green
(Status: OK). If not, close ST10Flasher and return to Step 7.
9. Press File to program ... and select the HEX file to program (check that file type “Hexfile
(*.HEX)“, drive and folder are correct). The display should now shows:
10. Turn on the VPP programming voltage.
11. Press the Program and Verify button.
12. After approximately 60 seconds, the following message will appear on the ST10Flashers
display:
13. Turn off the VPP programming voltage.
14. Turn off the SOLARIS unit.
15. Disconnect the programming box from the SOLARIS unit.
16. Reconnect the RS232 and CFL Converter plugs inside the unit.
17. Reinstall the back panel.
18. Turn the SOLARIS unit on. The startup screen appears and shows the newly loaded software
version.
