In the unfortunate event that a reset is required, the DriveRack™ units offer you the option of performing a “Soft” or
“Hard” reset. The Soft Reset resets everything except user programs. The Hard Reset Procedure will reset all program-
mable information back to the factory defaults.
480 and 480R Factory ("Hard") Reset
• Press and Hold the
STORE
button on power-up until the following message appears:
"! HARD RESET?"
• Pressing the
PREV PAGE
button will start a Factory Reset (All User Programs will become copies of the
Factory Programs, all Utility settings will be defaulted, and all Security settings will be defaulted)
Pressing the
PROGRAM
button will abort the Factory Reset sequence and the unit will reset normally.
480 and 480R Factory ("Soft") Reset

Press and Hold the
OTHER
button at power-up until the following message appears:
"! SOFT RESET?"
• Pressing the
PREVPAGE
button will start a System Reset (All Utility settings will be defaulted.)
• Pressing the
PROGRAM
button will abort the System Reset sequence and the unit will reset normally.
481 and 482 Factory ("Hard") Reset

button on power-up until the following message appears in the 7-Seg Display:
"HARD"
• Pressing the
PROGRAM UP
button will start a Factory Reset (All User Programs will become copies of the

Pressing any other button will abort the System Reset sequence and the unit will reset normally.
The DriveRack™ units offer several “Quick Key” options for initial power up and are as follow:
480 and 480R Power-Up Output Mute
Press and hold any of the mute buttons at power-up. All of the outputs will be muted when the program loads.
480 and 480R Change Initial Program Number
Press and hold <PROGRAM> at power-up until the following message appears:
"Use Wheel1 to" - "Change Restart" - "Program Number"
Turning the
PARAMETER 1
knob will select the program you wish to load at initial reset.
Press the
PROGRAM
button again when the selection is complete. Normal resetting will continue.
481 and 482 Power-Up Output Mute
Press and hold any of the mute buttons at power-up. All of the outputs will be muted when the program loads.
Note
: 481 has no mute buttons so cannot perform this function.
481 and 482 Change Initial Program Number
Press and hold the
PROGRAM DOWN
button at power-up until the program number blinks in the display.
Use the
PROGRAM UP
and
PROGRAM DOWN
buttons to select the program you wish to load at initial reset.
Press the ID UP button when the selection is complete. Normal resetting will continue.
