To align a mirror for Side Read applications:
1. Confirm mirror is properly mounted to the mirror sled
(as shown)
.
The flanged edge of the mirror mounting brackets should face the
camera and the mirror angle will be almost perpendicular with the flange.
2. Confirm the mirror assembly is mounted in the correct position on the
mounting structure. (Mirror positions are pre-marked on the mounting
structure. You can also check these positions on any mounting structure
drawings provided with your system.)
3. Use the proper mirror alignment tool to set the mirror position.
4. Tighten the mirror mounting screws that fix the mirror position in place.
5. After tightening the hardware, re-check the mirror angle with the
alignment tool.
6. Remove the protective film from the mirror surface before attempting
calibration.
Mirror Alignment for Side Read Cameras
IMPORTANT:
Mirrors for side-read or quadrant applications must be
aligned perpendicular with the flanged edge of the mounting bracket using
the outside edge of the alignment tool. Mark the bracket and write down
the angle in case the mirror ever needs to be replaced.
Adjust mirror
angle until the
mirror is flush
with the
alignment tool.
Flanged edge of
bracket must
face the camera.
