Note that any
Windows
computer can log into the domain quite simply during the OS installation
procedure, thus eliminating the need for the changes shown above. Consult the corresponding
documentation available from Microsoft or third party for more information on this topic.
Now, if you have been following all instruction precisely, you should be ready for the final stages of the
Spider software installation. Refer to the next subsections for the detailed description of the installation
procedure.
3.2 Spider software PVE 400 setup program in detail
To install the Spider software run the required self-installable package supplied on the CD-ROM or
downloaded from the product support page on the Internet.
When the Spider PVE400 setup program is
launched, you will see Spider PVE 400 title picture and after a few seconds (required to prepare the
installation program) a
system component check
will be performed. If the component check has been
performed successfully, the setup program will display several dialog screens in a sequence. These
dialogs (not shown here) will require you to perform the following steps:
1.
Read and accept Darim Vision
End User License Agreement
. [
By selecting the appropriate
radio button and clicking the [Next>] button you agree to be bound by terms and conditions of the
agreement shown on the screen.
]
2.
Enter the name of the person or group who is installing the system and the company or
organization that he/she works for. [
These names are usually the
same
as were entered during
Windows OS installation.
]
3.
Select the location where setup will create shortcuts for Spider components.
[Typically,
the Spider setup will create the
Spider
program folder and place shortcuts on to desktop as well.
But you may change the folder name by typing another one and cancel the shortcuts by
unchecking the corresponding check-button.]
The Spider installation process starts in the same way as was described earlier in section 3.2. After
guiding you through several common installation screens, described earlier, the setup program will
present you the dialog for selecting the setup type. Choose the setup type that suits your requirements
either
complete
or
custom
. The
complete
setup type will install all program features of the Spider
software package without your interaction. If you have selected the
complete
setup type, refer to section
3.2.4 as the following dialogs will not appear during this installation type. The
custom
type allows you
to select the required components of the Spider program and there location for installation and is
recommended for advanced users. If you have selected the
custom
setup type, you will see the dialog
similar to the one shown in Figure 7.
