Running the Network Configuration Tool
The Network Configuration tool provides information and parameter adjustments for network
adapters installed in the system and connected GigE Vision camera.
This tool allows you to:
•
Activate the Network Imaging driver used for image acquisition on any NIC or disable the
imaging driver for any unused NIC.
•
Configure the NIC as a DHCP server for connected GigE Vision camera.
•
Change the Auto Discovery Interval from the default of 15 seconds if required.
•
Configure the NIC and camera IP settings.
•
Assign a User Defined name to a connected camera.
•
Assign a Persistent IP address to a camera instead of the default DHCP / LLA assigned address.
Important: Changes made with this tool may update Linea SWIR GigE parameters stored in flash memory.
Do not remove power from the camera for a minimum 10 seconds.
Refer to the “Network Imaging Package for Sapera LT” manual (NetworkOptimizationGuide.pdf) for
more information on using this tool. The Network Configuration tool can quickly verify and modify
certain network configuration parameters of the imaging system.

Run the tool from the Windows Start menu: Teledyne DALSA • Network Configuration Tool.
Verify the camera appears as a child of the NIC card it is connected to. By default the camera is
identified by its serial number if no user defined name has been assigned.
