2.1.2 Cool / Heat Mode Switching
There are the following 4 cool/heat switching modes.
(1) Set cool/heat separately for each outdoor unit system by indoor unit remote controller.
(2) Set cool/heat separately for each outdoor unit system by cool/heat switching remote
controller.
(3) Set cool/heat for more than one outdoor unit system simultaneously in accordance with
unified master outdoor unit by indoor unit remote controller.
(4) Set cool/heat for more than one outdoor unit system simultaneously in accordance with
unified master outdoor unit by cool/heat switching remote controller.
(1) Set Cool / Heat Separately for Each Outdoor Unit System by Indoor Unit Remote Controller
It does not matter whether or not there is outdoor - outdoor unit wiring.
Set outdoor unit PCB DS1-1 to IN (factory setting).
Set cool/heat switching to IND (individual) for “Setting mode 1” (factory setting).

<Set the master unit (= indoor unit having the right to
select the cooling/heating operation mode).>
In the case of wired remote controllers
• After the check operation,
“CHANGEOVER UNDER
CONTROL”
is flashing in all connected remote controllers.
• Select an indoor unit to be used as the master unit in
accordance with the request from the customer.
(It is recommended to select an indoor unit which will be
used most often as the master unit.)
• Press the operation mode selector button in the remote
controller of the indoor unit selected as the master unit.
• In that remote controller,
“CHANGEOVER UNDER
CONTROL”
disappears. That remote controller controls
changeover of the cooling/heating operation mode.
• In other remote controllers,
“CHANGEOVER UNDER
CONTROL”
lights.
For the details, refer to the installation manual
supplied together with the indoor unit.
In the case of wireless remote controllers
• After the check operation, the timer lamp is flashing in all
connected indoor units.
• Select an indoor unit to be used as the master unit in
accordance with the request from the customer.
(It is recommended to select an indoor unit which will be
used most often as the master unit.)
• Press the operation selector mode button in the remote
controller of the indoor unit selected as the master unit. A
“peep” sound is emitted, and the timer lamp turns off in all
indoor units.
• That indoor unit controls changeover of the cooling/heating
operation mode.
