In any case, provide at least 300 mm of free space below the unit. Additionally,
make sure the unit is positioned at least 100 mm above the maximum expected
level of snow. See
"7.3 Mounting the outdoor unit" [

In heavy snowfall areas it is very important to select an installation site where the
snow will NOT affect the unit. If lateral snowfall is possible, make sure that the heat
exchanger coil is NOT affected by the snow. If necessary, install a snow cover or
shed and a pedestal.
7.1.3 Installation site requirements of the indoor unit
INFORMATION
Also read the precautions and requirements in the "3 General safety
precautions" [ 4 12].
▪ The indoor unit is designed for indoor installation only and for ambient
temperatures ranging 5~35°C in cooling mode and 5~30°C in heating mode.
▪ Mind the measurement guidelines:
Maximum refrigerant piping length between indoor unit and
outdoor unit 20 m
Minimum refrigerant piping length between indoor unit and
outdoor unit 3 m
Maximum height difference between indoor unit and outdoor
unit 20 m
Maximum equivalent piping length between the 3‑way valve
and the indoor unit (for installations with domestic hot water
tank) 3 m
